Hey there! Got a quick question regarding the Dell DW5620 mobile broadband module for the m11x R3 - does the module itself have a SIM card slot built in, or does it rely on a separate SIM slot that you have to have configured with the laptop at purchase?

Any help regarding this would be appreciated, thanks.

The sim card slot on the side of the laptop (above the sd card reader) is all wired up and ready. You just need to install the wwan card, antenna and drivers.

Johnson, thanks for your reply, I was wondering what that slot was for!

So if I was to purchase and install this, would that be it or would I require additional hardware?

You will need to install the antenna for it also. This requires removing the screen, taking the screen apart and installing the antenna into it.

Cripes! I'll probably just get in touch with Dell and see if I can get it sorted through a service thingy, not entirely certain about removing the display by myself.
