    Missing memory

    Windows is showing 3.8GB Usable memory out of 4GB.

    Task manager also shows 3.8GB.

    Where did 200MB of memory dissapear ??

    Using 64 bit windows 7

    EDIT: Just realized, 200mb reserved for Intel Integrated Graphics ?

    yeah, in use by the IGP would be my guess.

    It's kind of like when you look at your hard drive space: i.e. you have a 200GB hard drive but only 190-185GB is usable. There's an overhead cost to each of them.

    You are using the m11x? When in Windows, you are on the integrated video card, and furthermore using physical memory as graphics memory.
