Hey :) as stated in the title, I'm looking at buying a used m11xr1.
What should I expect from this computer? I had an m15x, which I just got refunded, so I'm building a desktop to suit my gaming needs. Just need this for vacationing and occasional schoolwork.

How does it feel watching videos on such a small screen, and what kind of performance should I be seeing in newer games such as crysis2? (don't mind playing on medium since I will do most of my gaming at the desktop).

I've been reading about hinge problems. Does this happen to everyone? Seeing as the laptop I buy will most likely be out of warranty, this would be a big issue for me.

Lastly; the reason I'm getting the r1 is because thats the only one on auction in Denmark. So if any of you for some reason wants to sell your r3 (in eu) I would very much like to hear from you :)

    Thanks a lot in advance

hey i love my r1. movies on it are good as long as you dont put it across the room to watch and i know the crysis 1 runs at 30fps on medium and looking at youtube videos on low crysis 2 looks great and runs close to 30fps. iv had mine for about 4 months and had no hinge issues but i heard dell is doing free hinge replacements if yours break even out of warrenty

I just bought a used r1 yesterday...and I am lovin it! I reinstalled windows 7 via the alienware disc and after installing all the drivers I wanted, it runs like a well oiled machine :) The compact size of the m11x has that cool factor you can't find on bigger machines (I used to have a 17" asus). Btw, the guy who sold it to me said he had the hinge replaced by Dell. From what I can tell, the replaced hinge is very very solid. Good luck with your purchase!
