My M11x r3 will do fine until:

    1. It goes bang.
    2. Dell understand the mistake they have made and make another
    3. When the wife lets me get a new one :D

However nice bit of kit, still not got the styling of the AW :D

And l bet it will cost me a damned sight more than £490 all in

for me, I just wonder if the maingear laptop will have backlit keyboard as that's a must have feature for a laptop.

Not bad. Nice to see an alternative to the Sager/Clevo. A friend bought a Sager years ago and I was amazed at how bad the build quality was. Spec wise it was great, but paint wore off the plastic and it flexed and creaked a LOT.

    I'm surprised at their warranty:

The Sager alternative makes you pay out of your own pocket to ship it to them in California and wait weeks to get it back. I'd pick this company over the alternative :p

Yup, thats exactly what it is. Maingair isn't making anything, they are just reselling and sticking the parts in for you at a higher price than other resellers (knowing Maingear) ;)

id love to get one of these... just cant justify the price. 1k for a laptop, or 1k spend on building an awesome gaming powerhouse? hmmm, il take the power house.

but in all seriousness, if i had a need for a laptop again, this would be what i would get. but id have to take out a loan to afford it hahah. or save for a couple months. (but im not patient)
