So I've been extremely happy with my R2 as of yet. However I'm trying to figure out how to get Optimus to switch over to the dedicated graphics for when I remote into my desktop PC.

Right now it chugs along a little bit and I'm pretty sure it's the graphics rendering because I've tested the speed of my connection. I've tried adding the .exe (the standard windows remote desktop utility) with no luck.

Anyone have any ideas aside from manually switching it in the bios?

You can't do it in the bios at all, you have to find a way to make it work with the Nvidia software, since there is no more manual switch and no way to always use discrete like on the R1.

I take it back. It seems that with Windows 7 you have to disable TCP Checksum Offloading for IPv4. I'm doing it over a wireless connection so now I just gotta figure out how to do that.

    Thanks.
