M11xR2 RANT!

I spent months on this unit to search for a great deal.. gone threw issues like no tomarrow..

I have searched and seeked stores for deals for SSD. Monitors.. Sleaves.. And the M11x alone.

Even had 2 before this one.

Now I get this i5 4gig.. and I can't even run 3DMark06 on it.. .

I have experienced LED LG.. Newest one at BestBuy 399.99... hot on the right side.. took back........ Bestbuy's Samsung 399.99 LED best of the bunch.. Started to smell funny... LG one that laid flat on the desktop without a stand.. rubber bumpers underneath it.. Just wasn't good as the first LG but keep.. Untill the 20 Vizio TV I had.. that was from Costco defective ( via Vizio confirmation)

So I purchace 3DMark06.. It gives me this error .. I go to settings and change the resolution to the m11x's resolution.. it runs proxicon ( spelling ) and then gives me the error again....

All in all im not f happy at all .. I really am tired of this twinking bs .. NUMBEROUS pages of this websites forms about this and that to get a laptop to be usable with various issues.

NEVERMIND the HELL Dell put me through.. ( in another thread ) .

Simply put.. the core2duo with no optimus.. worked!

Now I am a positive person.. and I have got my boots muddy.. and still wading in it.. So.. I'll stick it out. ( Although I can simply get a refund on this brick.)

Honestly.. this is a lot of work to just have a great laptop that performs.
It was this, or go rebuild the 478 socket. ponder.

May you set the nVidia GPU to global default?

 

My trying is simply gettin old.

Damn G73 battery life just simply sucks.

I'm a Cleric on EverQuest. There are a LOT of tanks really upset at me right now for being gone for so long!

 

I tried both settings.. the 3DMark06 settings.. in NVidia controll panel.. didnt work.. got error after proxicon.. so tried global.. same thing.

If I can't simply run that.. whats the point in keeping this system.

I have no idea how to run a dvd in Nvidia mode.. instead of intergrated.. for example.

I'm just losing patients on this .

DELL ought to donate some funds to this site for help.. Cause I would have refunded it a long time ago if it wasn't for the forms here. OR Even chosen to get the Alienware in the first place.. Knowing there was others with hindge issues etc.. with the unit.. that was getting resolved. ( as said.)

Well, as long as your games work, I guess.

3dmark06 isn't really a game, so it's not too bad of a loss. (that silly tank wannabe mini-game in it doesn't count)

What Nvidia drivers are you using? The original ones didn't work with the whitelist.
