i just received my m11xr2 a few days ago and the first time i charged it i had the computer off so i didn't notice any noise, i know that there probably wasn't but i was playing Starcraft 2 and i had my power supply plugged into my voltage regulator and my computer was charging and i was playing Starcraft and the power brick started making a high pitched noise kind of like a bad fan but obviously not that but it was high pitched and i had it right next to me for the most part and i could hear it within a foot of me, and i know power supplies when you hold them right up to your ear they make noise but this seems little abnormal. It also got extremely hot, but I've felt psu's get hot before although this was quite hot, and so the noise continued in cycles it was be lower and higher during the charge until i got to 99% then it pretty much stopped i was checking every once and a while while i would play then it stayed at 99% for quite some time and i figured maybe something was wrong so i unplugged it from my voltage regulator and into the wall and the psu noises had already stopped and my battery increment finally reached 100%, I'm confused, I'm almost 100% sure there is nothing wrong with my computer, but the power supply worries me, are they suppose to make noise when under heavy stress as it was charging and i was playing starcraft it makes the noise but as soon as it hit 99/100% it stopped and the brick cooled to a mild heat. Does anyone else have similar issues and this couldn't have damaged my laptop at all could it have? the adapter light is blue indicating that it is still functioning correctly but i am worried.

See this post and, if you want, the rest of the thread. In conclusion, some noise is fine, but it shouldn't be loud or increasing with time.
