Switchable graphics with this driver on the R1???

 

Installed, perform the same so far....

 

Should work. I read the user manual and no mention of any changes to the switchable graphics!

This won't work with switchable graphic's on the R1 unless someone mods the drivers. R1 users can install this in desecrate mode though.

 

Does left 4 dead 2 work with this drivers?

Also does anyone know hows the battery life when theses are installed?

With the stock dell drivers that came with the m11x i get like 5 too 6hours sometimes it shows 7hours with 8 too 10mw and ya that's on battery bar too But When any of the new drivers installed from nvidia i get like around 4hours too 30min and my discharge is like 14mw too 17mw even on power save.

I haven't tried these new drivers yet but didn't want it too mess up the battery life im getting.

I have this installed and Dragon Age 2 crashes every time.

 

ok just installed it and im noticing that my fan is running more often than before... just running things like cdisplay and the fan starts to blow.. any thoughts?

 

Tried the new drivers. It may just be me, but I feel it's giving a slight performance boost in Starcraft 2. Before without OCing it would go down to 26 fps in big battles, and now it's giving me 29fps in big battles.

Another thing, WEI is getting an error when running the direct3d 10 batch assessment. Anyone else getting this?

Dragon Age II does indeed seem to not be playing nicely with these drivers. I'm rolling back to the beta drivers, glad I kept those saved.

im not sure what i did, but i kept on trying it and it worked.

Also, Dragon Age 2 works for me .(Med settings) I like this drivers slight increase in performance, but noticeable

 

ok, downloading drivers now.

The NDxsync.exe or whatever crashed on the 266.58 drivers and caused crysis 2 to freeze then go to a lower fps. so i am hoping the latest drivers won't do that

 

Finally some good news, downloading, reporting back soon.

 

I'll try a clean install to see if that fixes anything.

Nope this is for R2. And really your gonna just rollback because WEI has an error? I would roll back if games had error, but WEI?

Performance wise this is a good driver. imo
I dont know if it was because of A04 Bios or this driver, my rig runs a bit cooler by a few degrees and fan doesnt turn on as often.

Well it's a direct3d 10 error, it might affect games that use directx 10 stuff. The performance isn't phenomenal and I can wait till they fix it.

 

Not only do these drivers cause WEI to error out, but now I can't change my power plan off of High Performance permanently. No matter which plan I choose, it's set to High Performance again when I boot.

These new drivers do not work with Left 4 Dead 2. Just confirmed it.

Reverting back to 260.99

 

I just played Batman Arkham Asylum, L4D2, LoL, Source, and Dakrsiders with the new driver. They all work perfectly, I found more stable fps when gaming

 

The first time I tried to install this there were errors and only a few components installed. Now if I try to reinstall it says that it couldn't find compatible hardware. Any help?

I realize this issue is long a gone, but there is no punkbuster compatibility issues anymore right?

Red Faction: Guerilla is no longer working after I installed this driver. 276.24 worked fine.

 

I have the game, I´m gonna test it out when I get out of work later....

 

Just to report back, I was getting 3 errors when I launched the launcher for Batman Arkham Asylum, it's gone now xD

 

Well, is true, Red Faction Guerrilla does not work with the new drivers, I´pm gonna go back to the previous one....

why does just cause 2 crash windows on new driver?

 

Does your L4D2 work with "very high" shaders on this driver? For me it doesn't.

Anyone confirm if CUDA is working properly? Cause even with CoreAVC I am getting horizontal tears with my old drivers. :/

Agreed, especialy in Black Ops. However 2 minor downsides is I've noticed is the drivers are producing a bit more heat than the previous ones, but also some games I can't alt tab out of. When I do minimise via Ctrl Shift Del> Task Manager it takes a good few minuetes to load unlike previous drivers.

Very tempting to role back, but i'll see how it goes later.

 

I strongly believe that 260.99 is the most stable Nvidia driver for M11x R2.
