    Hey guys,

I realized that my new m11x r2 is a bit warm.
GPU temperature is around 51~55C on idle and 47~53C for Intel i7 Core #0 Core #2. Is this normal?

    Core #0 Min 45C, Max 58C
    Core #2 Min 44C, Max 55C

When just surfing or on idle, temperatures are between 47~51C...

GPU is around 52C~58C on idle....

I think there are some problems here, right?

    Any experienced people pls?

How did u get them so low? I've never seen any laptop ranging that low ever. Especially in such a inefficiently cooled laptop.

Can u take a Screenshot using the program RealTemps?

With realtemp. Not sure which one is correct, but I never complained about the the heat on my laptop. Longest I had it on was 12 hours.

I've always used real temps, when I compared it, with bios and an actual sensor it came closer to the sensor than the Bios lol :p.

it's obvious your speedfan isn't calibrated correctly. you need to use something like coretemp or realtemp to calibrate the offset values for speedfan.

As regards to the OP's original question... yes those temps are perfectly normal, and well within operating specs.

Edit: although your GPU idle temp seems at bit high... mine is mid-40s (but my core clock in 2D drops down to 135Mhz).

GPU temps do seem unusually high for idle, but the CPU temps aren't that far out of the ordinary.

I'm assuming you would've mentioned this but I'll ask anyway -- do you have the GPU or CPU overclocked?

Max temp I have seen for the CPU is 63°C, and it was after hours of converting HD videos, normal use (even gaming) is not even 60°C, and I use TS and OC

GPU when gaming is around 60°C-64°C, idle is never over 45°C

Also, check the Nvidia settings, maybe you have a program running in the back that has the nvidia card whitelisted, mine used to be McAfee, and the temps in the nvidia card where always around 50°C

    My temps via speedfan are
    GPU:48
    Core0-3: 28, 27, 20, 22

This is after grinding AQUA@home all night then suspending it to run some benchmarks.

When I bench the processor with prime95 or pi calculations I've never seen over 71 degrees and that was momentary, gpu I've seen in the 85 region IIRC.
