    Hi!

In short I've upgraded my m11xr1 to a m11xr2. I ended up pretty much replacing everything except the monitor, ram, and hd lol. But...more to the point, I prefer not to wipe my drive. However, I can't get the r2 chipset software to install "correctly".
Let me clarify what I mean by correctly. The intel graphics software installed without issue, however, the nvidia software can't find a valid driver. Device manager isn't showing anything that would relate to this missing/unspoken for device.
Also... the alienfx and what not is also screwed up.

So...this brings me to my point. Is there a way to uninstall the previous chipset so that device manager is..vacant of any pre-existing drivers. So that it's ready for a fresh set?

Also, I do not have a factory dell driver CD. does there happen to be a location that houses ISO's?

Why dont you reinstall windows?? Your attempting to take a different MB chipset and then to use your same install as original. Wont work, or possibly but you will have issues and not as smooth a system.

Just download the drivers you need from intel and nvidia as well as Alienware. Back up your data. Format the HD, then reinstall windows. You can use a USB stick these days. MS has a free program to transfer their ISO unto a USB.

If you have no disc, you can find them online through torrents. Just get the UNhacked OEM version of Windows 7 x64 home. You have a valid license on your computer already (see the windows sticker on bottom). With a hacked version your not only being illegal, no telling what virus and spyware the user added to the hack.
