so when i first bought my m11x, i uninstalled the dell datasafe local backup application, but i noticed the 19Gb recovery partition is still there. So if i download and re-install dell datasafe again.. will it use that recovery partition? or will i have to create another one? and it seems the recovery partition aren't as easy to be removed.

You can use that recovery partition again if you re-install Dell Datasafe Local Backup.
