If you go to dell.be (belgian dell site) and configure a m11x you have the option to select a 8*dvd/rw drive for €73. Do you think this is just a website mistake or is it for real?

    They mean an external drive.

I'm pretty sure they mean an external drive. However, it is not stated anywhere. Plus, it would be nice for the people that want the drive if they would know the brand and the interface it uses etc.

Still, 73€ is quite steep. The slimline LG usb burners go for around 50€ and have all anyone would need.

Exactly an external drive costs €50. And when you go to your basket you see that the drive is under the section 'parts' and not under the section 'accesoires'.

True, but I guess that's the standard mark-up you get when you order something together with a system at dell. Almost all extra's you add (logitech, speakers etc) are way overpriced.

It's under accessories when you see the detailed view of your cart.

The only DVD drive that will work with m11x is the one that is sold by Dell...

That is what I was really told by their sales rep tho... lol. :D

    Just buy it separately...

Actually accesoires like the logitech m5 gamer mouse or the anywhere mouse are way cheaper by dell than in any other retail store in Belgium.

Anyway, thanks all for solving this issue, it kinda was too good to be true.
