Okay, it's happened to me! AAHHHH

About twice in the last 24 hours, luckly while not DJing, my m11x has become completely unresponsive, no mouse movement, no screen changes, and any sounds I have playing at that moment will freeze and loop every second. Classic lockup.

Both times I have been using a lot of transfer over WiFi, and I've read this is a common cause.
I've read other users having this problem, and has there been a fix?

Just checking that it has happened to me twice on an R2, also.

Nothing heavy. The first time the screen went all black and it wouldn't come back to windows, perhaps because I had paused it watching a video. The 2nd time it was just moving the mouse around while I copied a big file (about 12gb) to an external hard drive, this time everything just froze, I couldnt even move my mouse cursor.

If I remember correctly, switching to windows default HD drivers is the temporary solution, until new drivers for the HD come out.

Hmmm... just happened to me this morning for the first time. I'd just booted from hibernation, had started Outlook and Lightroom, inserted an SD card for later photo import, went for coffee, came back and it was totally locked up. No data transfer over wifi beyond the little that Outlook had going on. Only option was to power it off.

I also get lock up after playing starcraft 2. I normally exit SC2, then go do something for 15 min and when I come back, m11x will wake up amd mouse will be active but you can<t click on anything on the desktop. I can still do ctrl-alt-del and access that menu and reboot otherwise the computer is useless.

Seems like you have a different problem, for most cases as mine, the whole computer becomes unresponsive, including the mouse and Windows.

Interesting observation DJ I wasn't thinking the WiFi might be my problem. I have been having huge issues with lockups anytime I download games using steam or Direct2Drive both using the Firefox downloader and D2D downloader. I'll have to try use ethernet next time.
