I have the same exact problem and my computer is in process of fixing through multi-steps. Online troubleshoot with them did not find or fix the issue.

First, Dell wanted to replace the HDD and RAM. Perfectly reasonable especially since we couldn't figure out where the problem was located.

Problem continued. They wanted to try replacing WLAN. They upgraded the WLAN with apparently an upgraded WLAN. Who knows.

I had one freezing since then (2 weeks) but that's insufficient to determine that it was the same problem I had continuously. It might have been some random error. One more problem, I'm calling again.

Luckily I'm still under warranty, but I can't imagine this happening afterwards.

My advice is, call Dell and get it fixed ASAP.

Hard to tell "what" is causing it but realize it could be the wireless NIC or even video. Those two are the most common but for the NIC seems to be mostly those using the intel replacements.

    Not sure about R2/R3

Yep have this issue also, not often but seems to happen for no reason. I think for me it's the CPU which is OCed all the time, anyway am replacing this laptop in the next few months and no I won't be buying another m11x.

R2 still has the same issue although I've disabled free fall sensor on my hard disk.
    Not sure about R3.
