Here and when you go through all the options, make sure you remove macaffey anti virus. It knocks another 50 bucks off the price.

Just in case someone hasn't seen this yet.

    Cool find.

i7, 4gb, 320gb hd is the model. You can also take off bluetooth to remove another $20.

I need my bluetooth but I hadn't thought about that lol. That makes it 263 off the i7 model which is better then the EPP price I was getting. You also get another 10 off of standard shipping.

My order was already cheaper through EPP, since I didn't get all the options with it, just the i7, everything else standard except free next day delivery. including tax it was about $965. I tried to see if I could stack the EPP 10% off and $100 off coupons with the free i7 upgrade but it's not possible. I called to see if they could take off the $135 I payed to upgrade to the i7, since they are now advertising it as a free processor upgrade now, but they said I would have to cancel my order and reorder with the new deal, which I was expecting, so I just kept my original order since it was cheaper.

You got it with 4GB and the 320 drive? I might have to check my Epp again.

Damn that is a good deal. Only minor gripe is that I'd love to be able to shave off a few more $$ by downgrading the hard drive, since I wanna throw in my own SSD.

    Good find though!

No as I said in that post, I got the i7 but everything else standard, 2GB ram, 160GB hard-drive, etc.

Exactly, I'm going to do the same.

That's the only downside. This spec with EPP cost me about a hundred dollars more so I'm happy. I do want to get a SSD one day but they are still to rich for my blood against the storage size they offer. Maybe in another year or this christmas.

I did go back and check. I found another 100 off coupon for EPP that would have made my set up 30 dollars cheaper. I could also trim Memory and hardrive to save even more (about another 100) but I think I'll keep my configuration. Its the minimum I want and I'll only end up going to newegg to buy it to bring it up to this spec anyway. So for 30 bucks I don't think its worth me cancelling for, though I should try to see if they will give me the additional. Probably not since I didn't actually order it through EPP.

Looks like the old EPP config. they had for the R1, except that you actually don't have to get the 500GB HDD. I seriously doubt that McAfee costs anywhere near $50 to add on, so its a great way to inflate the price of the laptop.

Even with a EPP config, that is a good price for the laptop.

after working on it hours and hours and reading pages long forums thats what i end up with.

allright i just put an order but if i find out a better discount i will cancel it later. first of all i tried the boing discount and it only gave a 16% discount and couldnt combine it with any other discounts (unless you guys have any other ideas!) so i tried the epp dicount with sales rep on the phone and this got me a better price(eventhough sales rep didnt give me any additional discount or better deal. From him i got exactly what i would get from the link i posted below.) we started from this link Find a Laptop, Notebook, Desktop, Server, Printer, Software, Service, Monitor or TV at Dell. | Dell --->>> indeed I got 4 gb ram, i7, 320gb, bluetooth, tax(88$ to new york) and shipping included total 1089$$$ everything included. Sound good or can i get bettter deal???

edit: I used the 100 off coupon too, forgot to mention.

I think you have to remove the coupon code. I think it´s against the forum rules.

Can anyone tell me if this deal is still working. I just tried ordering over the phone telling them about the "free processor upgrade" They told me they didnt have anything like that in their system anymore. I was trying it over the phone to hopefully talk them down a little on the price of the warranties, if need be i can just order it online.
