    When you try and bring this to a professional environment such as school or work meeting, when turning on the computer from shut down, the lights still comes on even after turning off the alienfx.

    Is there a setting to turn it off permanently when it starts up?

    AFAIK, the easiest solution is to create a profile in AlienFX and then set all the colours to black. As for the Alien head on the back, I don't think there is a way to turn it off.
