Lol these are only there because people are returning theirs as mock "defective" so they can score a pity upgrade from dell.

No, beacause people are returning their R1's for R2's.

    Thus more R1's available.

well no r2s are available at all and people have been returning them because of disappointment with battery life relative to the r1 and build quality

I don't know how you got the information that more r1s are being returned than r2s but i would certainly like to see the numbers :)

*quickly smashes his R1 m11x with a hammer and calls "DEFECTIVE!" *

lol just kidding. I love my m11x. And my Optiplex Gs with Dos installed. I just wouldn't be content if it was obsolete. :p

Well its common sense to know that when a product goes under revision, the most recient people whom have purchased the R1 revision send theirs back in order to get the latest and greatest.

oh ok so there are no numbers and it is just what you think in your head with absolutely nothing to back up your assertion. get proof or get out lol

Proof is on the site. Go try and order a referbished R2. Point being, statistically correct, the fact that the R1 units are the only units available shows that they are the ones being returned.

Or Alienware has decided to start phasing out the r1. You have absolutely zero proof that more r1s are being returned than r2s.

That's what I'm saying. I'm using my M11xR1 right now because I'm waiting for the tech guy to come and put in a new blu-ray drive on my M17x and for the 850.00 I paid with all that I got, there is no way that I'd pay 829 for one with the old processor and 2 gigs of ram and I didn't pay tax. I bought it from an ebay reseller.
