I did a search on a few keywords, but unable to locate my specific concern.

My setting on my m11x is "to do nothing" when the lid is closed.
I move my notebook around so I don't need it to sleep constantly just to move from a meeting, aroudn the house or anywhere else.

My concern is that I see that the display turns off when the lid is closed (obviously), but unfortunatley the keyboard actually stays lit.

Is there any settings/options to turn off the backlit keyboard when the lid is closed? I have been unable to find this option.

    Thank you

Went through almost all settings and it seems like only by going into the AlienFX to shutoff the keyboard seems to be the only way.

Any fix or patch to shut off keyboard when lid is closed?

you can always press FN+alienFX button. thats a quick shortcut to turn off the lights i believe.

Correct as I said aside from the AlienFX to turn off the keyboard though.
Curious if there is a patch or update for the keyboard lighting to automatically turn on and off when open/closed like other notebooks.

hmm. i dont see why they wouldnt. i know my studio XPS 13 has its keyboard lights turned off when i close it. maybe in a future bios update?

at least the screen goes off. iv heard some thinkpads and inspirons just leave the screen on when you choose the option not to do anything and users are required to do the FN+lower screen brightness to do anything about it.
