Hi just wondering any of you are using firefox 4 with your m11x. The problem that i'm facing right now is that firefox is very sluggish on my m11x compare to chrome , i've even disable Hardware Acceleration.

Just wondering is there any possible way to make firefox 4 useable.

Opps forgot to mention that i hook up my m11x to a 1920x1080 monitor.

I'm using firefox 4 on my R1 and I haven't had any problems with it so far. I haven't tried using an external monitor for it though.

Heya, Im in the same situation as you. Firefox's performance kinda sluggish as well as my msn messenger.

If your utube videos are jerky, u could try to change the gfx driver.

I'm using firefox 4 on my R1 and I haven't had any problems with it so far. I have tried using an external monitor (2 x 1920x1200 extended )and it's fine.

It is a problem with the hardware acelleration of it, also, it seems to be quite incompatible with the Win 7 Alienware theme.

On my desktop it runs flawless, however, here in my M11xR1, I guess it's time to try IE 9.

its kind of weird when it comes to FF any more. when FF first competed with IE i changed to FF because it generally ran better and used less resourses than IE but now when i use FF i seem to be running around 150,00OK to 200,000k which is a lot more than IE or chrome... and its even worse when i try to use facebook... all though i do prefer FF im starting to use chrome more and more...

Same boat here, moved to Chrome. IE9 wouldn't run properly for me. Haven't looked back.

I recently had a thread running on this, and it seemed either the flash or firefox was the culprit (or the both of them together?). I still havent found the true culprit, but it may have to do with add ons because I just reformated my computer and Im using IE9 and the machine's running better than it ever did.

It was weird though, because I had my machine overclocked and when I first got my computer (and along with everyone elses m11x r1), the CPU score under WEI was 4.6 (when overclocked) and 4.1 when not. The weird thing was, when I ran it while my computer was hitting performance issues, it showed that the CPU rating was 4.4!

I had planned on doing a reformat anyways and now, the WEI score is thankfully 4.6 again. Im not sure what had to do with the performance lost, however I would say that a reformat would definitely fix the problem.

I mainly use firefox because of a specfic add on being the downloadhelper and the converter. I now just have firefox running when I need it and moved to IE9. Everythings smooth and running great, so I'd just advise either switching over or reformating if it's bothering you as it definitely was for me...sadly I loved the interface of firefox and how everything worked, however IE9 is a very nice compromise!
