    M11x Webcam drivers for reload

    I recently reloaded my R1/R3 (Chasis and motherboard from an R3, LCD screen/webcam from an R1) And it dawned on me that I don't have drivers for this, and I don't see them on Dell's site. I heard that the webcam drivers are encapsulated within software that came loaded on the machine. I'm unsure of what that software was. So....the question is, what software is that? Can it be downloaded? If not, is there someway of obtaining drivers that will detect/install the webcam?

    The Webcam would use the Dell WebCam Central Software as the software application for the camera. You can download the program from the link below. You must register at the site to download.

    I'll give it a go when I get home :) I hope the scan portion works with registering my laptop with them, as it was pieced together =p

    Actually, after re-reading your response, I have to ask just to clarify, I see that you said it was the software for the webcam....am I to assume that this does, or doesn't have the drivers as a part of the software package? Thanks!

    This is true, you need the DELL Webcam Central that you will find in that website. Good Luck on your quest BTW :) :cool:
