Bought my m11x less then a year ago and really never bothered seeing as to why transferring files took long and i get a notification sometimes saying i can speed it up by using a 2.0 port. From my understanding all ports are suppose to be 2.0 just wondering if there's something wrong. Thanks.

Try the latest Intel chipset driver.

Okay i tried to install the chipset drivers but i already have them so i then tried to troubleshoot it. I disabled both "enhanced" USB ports and still my external mouse and keyboard worked. I then disabled a "universal" USB port and my mouse no longer worked. I'm trying to figure out why it wants to use the USB 1.0 settings instead of the 2.0 settings.

Just so i'm sure. It's not suppose to take 7 minutes to transfer a 1.5gb file to a thumb drive. Right?

That's just under 4MB's a second, which i believe is a little slow. WHat kind of thumb drive is it? I had a cheap 8GB thumb drive give me the same speeds on any system.

It's pretty old so that might be the reason. But what about transferring files onto my phone. Same thing, Takes a really long time. It doesn't really bother me it would just be nice to find a way to fix it.
