    Hello all,

    Can someone tells me how loud the speakers for M11x, and does the integrated (Internal) speakers comes with 5.1 surround clarity as Dell claimed?, bass quality? and the last question. which laptop is considered to have a loud speakers for gaming area so far? AlienWare M11x,or MSI 660?? thank you in advance

    They're quite loud. For some sort of measure, if I'm sitting in front of it, I use the speakers at ~34%. I haven't seen an MSI 660 so can't compare them.

    Dell doesn't claim the M11x's speakers do 5.1 surround sound (and they don't). Instead, they say it has 5.1 surround sound output (and it does).

    Edit: oh wait, I bet you're saying there is a virtual surround sound option in the Realtek settings for the internal speakers. I haven't tried it though so could only give some superficial observations on the spot.

    Uhm, I find the speakers sufficiently loud. I watched a review on youtube and it compared them to the quality of a macbook pro's speakers. I've got to say I would agree 100% as quite a few of my friends have macbook pros. Usually I am more concerned about quality versus volume, but these are both decently loud, and with good quality. The bass on them is...eh. I would rate them at slightly above standard for a laptop.

    I feel the same way Jamezuh does I think they are above avg for such a small laptop. I wish they would have installed a subwofer of some kind but I know that is alot to ask. I was just very spoiled to my Toshiba sound system. To this day it cant be touched. But to answer your question the M11X gets very good and loud.
