Having recently ordered the M11X-R2 and waiting for it to come, I wanted to go ahead and order an SSD drive to install in it.
I was thinking the OCZ Technology Vertex 2 Series 90 GB, but I wasn't sure if it should be 2.5 or 3.5 in size?
Thanks for help in advance!

the only vertex 2 SSD that's 90gb is the 3.5" version...which obviously won't fit.
OCZ Vertex 2 SATA II 3.5" SSD - OCZ
you should really be looking at these:
OCZ Vertex 2 SATA II 2.5" SSD - OCZ
a 120gb is more than enough really. 160+ would be overkill. -
HOWEVER, heheh if you need a lot more onboard storage AND a substantial increase in speed, one of the seagate momentus hd's might be a better all round 'fit'. Real world use testing by many pros suggests they come very close to ssd 'real world' performance, at much less cost with far higher storage.
That has been my experience also.

Vertex 2 120gb is a great choice. I wouldnt recommend 90 anyways because its a little small considering reformatting + os + couple games/programs.
Newegg has a special right now for $170 after mail in rebates:
Newegg.com - OCZ Vertex 2 OCZSSD2-2VTXE120G 2.5" 120GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
grab it before it goes again. -
or get the....
Newegg.com - Corsair Force CSSD-F120GB2-BRKT 2.5" 120GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
though both the vertex 2 and the F120 were nearly the same price in australia so it's a huge price difference in the US. -
I think you are right, I will need more than 90 GB. I think I will look into some of those other options as well, especially the Momentus. I have heard a lot about it.
Thanks again everyone!
