    Hi all,

I purchased an Alienware M11x two years ago and have recently installed a WWAN card, along with antennas. The card is a Dell 5530 Mobile Broadband mini-card. The drivers for both the card and the SIM reader are installed and appear in Device Manger without any issues. However, when I do insert a SIM card, Windows nor the Dell Connection Manager recognize it. I would appreciate anyone's help in this matter.

Getting the drivers to work is a pain, but possible. I am willing to help others with getting their WWAN card drivers to work.

Have you turned the card on?

Push and hold the fn + wifi key. A window should pop up to allow you to turn on/off wifi, bluetooth, and wwan. Make sure wwan is turned on.

Sorry for hijacking this thread. Is it possible to install a WLAN card to the WWAN slot on the M11xR1?
