Does any one know where one could get a replacement battery for the R1 that doesn't cost $200+?

I haven't been able to find anything on the Dell site.

Replacement batteries can be probably purchased from dell customer service for $100-200 but they usually only sell if your warranty is up and you have evidence or reason to buy one that can be shown.

Other than that you will probably have to wait around 6months to 1year to find an aftermarket battery for the m11x.

It's been available over a year and a several months. One of the positive bullet points was that the battery was user-replaceable despite being built-in, so they had better make good on that. Why would they not want to sell you a battery, even at full price, just because you were still under warranty? Some people want second batteries and battery wear is not covered by the warranty anyway (they replaced mine under warranty because the AC adapter died and killed my battery with it).

Weird. They replaced my R1s battery because of wear. Except I just said that the battery wouldn't hold a charge longer than 1hr 30min. Took 30min but they replaced it.

I just got a new battery, I told them my computer was telling me to replace the battery, I was 2 months out of the 1 year warranty too.
