    Hi,

I'm getting a R3 replacement, but only with 2GB, so I thought I could save a bit of money and buy a Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB-kit
It costs only 5-6$ more than the cheapest 8GB-kit in my country, so will a 1600Mhz rated RAM work on a R3?
    Thanks in advance!

Sorry for my bad english, not my native nor second language..

It will work, but it will only read as 1333MHz. I would, for the same price, get Kingston HyperX 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1600, it will perform the same but you get the bonus of having heat sinks on your ram.

Thanks for the answer, just as I thought. The Hyper-X costs accutally 20$ more than all other RAM in the same "class" so it isn't worth it. But thanks for the tip!
