Hi all, selling my laptop to a buddy and after a reinstall the WEI score for the 2D portion is just 2.3 - I've never seen it below 3 on previous installs/drivers! This is on latest Nvidia/Intel drivers to my knowledge. How can I improve the score? No one wants to buy a laptop with a WEI of 2.3... Thanks!

The WEI is not an accurate measurement of performance (or anything really), and anyone with the slightest tech sense knows to ignore the WEI score because it doesn't tell you anything at all.

But for the record, it is 2.3 because it is only detecting the integrated GPU, the 335M only turns on when it's needed and the WEI "testing" phase wasn't one of them.

WEI is not a benchmark, you can run it 3 times and it'll spit out 3 different numbers. Run an actual benchmark like 3DMark 11 and compare your scores to reference scores.

Hi Tremek, follow the steps on figure 2-3 to test the computer on it's maximum performance, with this you will be getting the accurate information, the Windows Experience Index would not be as accurate as this is when it comes to Video Card performance, Alienware Laptops: Computer overheats, shutdown when running intensive applications | Dell .#IWork4AW
