    M11x R2 i7 Not OCing?

    I went into the BIOS and changed the processor clock speed to 150. I was told that this should change my processor speed to 2.26 ghz, however, it's still reading 1.20 ghz both on startup and while running.

    Have you thorougly read one of the many overclocking guides out there? I ask because of your comment that you "were told" that changing that setting will etc etc. You really should get yourself a thorough understanding of what each setting will do so that you can make informed decisions as you work up your overclock , and so that you can work it all out safely (without frying something).

    I have in the past found this guide to be quite useful.

    I did notice that it would jump up to 2.4ghz for a few seconds when I launched a couple programs.

    I do have decent experience OCing GPUs, but my Bios is locked on my Sager so I could never try anything out with the CPU.
