I've juz bought my m11xr2 a month ago or so and have been experiencing lag on games such as soldier front and counter strike, even with max performance settings on the bios as well as the nvidia control panel. When i called dell, all they could tell me was to restore my laptop. My battery life on extremely low settings while using the internal graphic card(not the nvidia one) and with activities such as surfing the net is only 2.5 hours? Thats like the time i read most people get while on high graphic settings. Could there be some faults with my battery?

Anyways, i restored my laptop and now i dont have the alienware theme or what you call it ( such as the start button having an alien face instead of the windows logo) :( how do i get that back? it looks cool. Any suggestions of what to do if restoring dosen't help either performance or power consumption wise?

Also, i cant chagne my volume in-game. I am required to minimize the game im playing, which i cant for games like soldier front, to change volume, which can be very irritating.

P.s. sorry for my computer noobness and any help would be strongly appreciated :)

Hi Wccl, i used to play Crossfire if you have heard of it, before i got this laptop. I got this laptop and played MW2 at maxed out settings with 60+fps noticable, but then tried to play crossfire and got around 30fps...I am on a similar boat with you about the very low-quality fps games, but I don't believe it's a fault with the hardware, but I feel that this nvidia series doesn't really support them so well.

    i play crossfire as well!

but you need to whitelist the .exe file to make it use the nvidia gpu, on my R1 i get over 200fps, but iv done mods and overclocked it to high hell.
