Could someone help me locate a download or something to make the graphics work on windows 8?

I have everything running except for the switcher that switches graphics between the Intel and Nvidia. I cannot seem to locate the switcher online, and I have the nvidia drivers installed but they don't work (Since it's on the intel profile). Could someone help?

Ha, nice reference there. Maybe an option to check: did you install the Intel drivers before the Nvidia drivers?

I believe they must be from DELL for it to work better and since it was not a certified upgrade then it'll probably not appear.

All of the drivers for Windows 7 work. The only one that doesn't is the Nvidia one, but that's because the computer is currently on the Intel profile so the computer doesn't think it HAS an Nvidia GPU.

The original drivers had a gpu switching application that I cannot seem to find online, and I'm afraid of using the install cd due to possibly having programs that are newer being overwritten. Does anyone know where the gpu switching application is online?

The "switching" part to which you are referring is actually called "Optimus" a patented NVidia technology for auto-sensing and auto-switching between graphic adapters based on load.

Optimus has always been an integral part of the Nvidia driver package. It has always been like that under Windows 7, Vista and XP.

I've never seen a 'separate' Optimus driver, aside from the standards nVidia driver -package for a particular adapter.

actually, I just saw you are talking about the R2.. did the R2 and R1 have optimus? is it available on the 355?

The R1 had switchable graphics, the R2 uses Optimus but you have to use dell's driver for it to work properly.
