    Hi,

Is my understanding of this correct -

    1) At boot Key F12 and restore Image via that method (Win7 DVD not required).

    or

    2) Install the OS via media provided and manually install required drivers + software?

Also, probably a silly question but I know a driver is required for the Intel Graphics adapter and a separate driver for the Nvidia GPU. Am I to install a third driver for the Optimus? or is this something included with the Nvidia driver? If that makes sense.

Lastly - I'm guessing I can choose to install components of Command Center rather than the complete suite? For example if I didn't want the face recognition log-on but only the ability to manipulate the LEDs.

    Thank you :)

Yes, there is a partition on the drive for a system recovery to the way the system was the day you got it, usually the best way to go.

If you want to, you can use an external DVD Drive and reload the drivers, software and everything, you will wipe out and ruin your recovery partition. Only reason to do this is if you know what you are doing and want a completely custom install.

Install the Intel Driver, then nVidia separately. There is no Optimus drivers. Just be sure to use the latest and proper Intel and nVidia drivers.

And lastly, No, either install the command center or don't. Once installed, you can disable face recog and disable the services, usually the way to go.
