So that issue with the wi-fi driver that causes the system to randomly hard freeze, it is still around. My constant google searches have gotten me no where and the issue is getting quite annoying ( I have hard froze a total of 8 times today ). Has anyone found a fix for it?

    So far I have
    -Updated Drivers
-Disabled "N-mode" ( this actually did reduce the freezes but still there)
    -AlienAutopsy came out clean

    Full stats
    Model: Alienware M11xR2
    Processor: Intel Core i5 CPU U520 @ 1.07GHz 1.07
    Ram: 8.00 GB
    System type: 64-bit OS
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 335M

For anyone that doesn't know the issue is a problem with the driver in the wi-fi card. For some reason it causes the system to randomly freeze. By random I literally mean random, there seems to be nothing that sets it off other than using the wifi. The drivers haven't been updated since their release so there is no official fix to my knowledge.

The only way I found that actually stops the freezing is to not use the wi-fi card at all. For me that is not an option, my router is in a weird place for cords and all my usb ports are full ( in case of a usb wifi card ).

I just noticed that after re-loading the OS and all drivers on my M11x R2 that if you go to Windows Update, it actually finds a driver for the WiFi card in the laptop. That's what I'm running right now. Not that I noticed any issue with the Dell WiFi card driver before. But you can try perhaps wiping your system from scratch and re-load everything and then try to use the Windows Update WiFi card driver for your laptop?

You don't say which card you have or what driver versions from where. Firmware ver the same as other systems with same issue?

I would recommend you to do as M11xDude suggests, try using the windows standard drivers.
