    Greetings earthlings,

After my warranty expired, dell fixed my hinges for my M11x R2, I believe the dell rep Chris said they would only fix 1 time after warranty.

Here I am again with a broken hinge on the SAME EXACT SIDE ._.
    What am I to do...

How long ago did they repair it? Every manufacturer including Dell includes a 90 day warranty on the repair, now outside of warranty...you'll need to pay for the repair.

If Dell fixed your hinge, it was replaced with the new design, so as far as they are concerned any damage after that point is your fault because they replaced the faulty component. the break on the hinge is also caused by the way in which you open and close your laptop, so you really need to be more careful with how you handle & transport it.

No Dell will not fix it again for free, yes you will have to mail it to them and pay for the repair at the depot. Either that or extend your warranty before they fix it and have an in-home repair done.

If I'm an owner of a M11x R1 and never had warranty on it, would Dell still replace my hinge for free???

If it's still the original hinge and has never been replaced, yes.

September 2011 according to my records

EDIT: that might have been for a different service. It was either September 2011 or after it, but not before.
