So basically, m11x r2 (i5,8gig ram) was working perfectly fine Monday -Wednesday. Today was different. It would be a lot easier for me to describe it if I just make a timeline of what happened and what I did.

(For reference, I left the computer on for 3 days in a row this week, don't usually do that but I had a lot of things I needed to download )
    ------------
Booted it up on Thursday night-
Noticed that general surfing was lagging and there was some mouse lag.
Programs were going "Not Responding" a lot
Booted up Torchlight 2 for the first time, very long loading screen and very very laggy ( 10 fps on lowest settings )
Decided to reboot and also test the memory ( I keep having a suspicion that the ram is dying even though it always comes back clean ).

After reboot, memory test came out clean and general surfing was no longer laggy and programs did not go "Not Responding"
Games on the other hand were still loading very slow and very laggy.
To test this I decided to pick one of the lowest graphically intense games on my hard drive, maplestory ( Game can normally run 30fps on integrated graphics ).
It took about 6 minutes to load when it normally takes 30 seconds and it was lagging way too much to be playable ( This was using nvidia card )
Now I did the basic system cleaning, ran my anti-virus scan, super anti-spyware scan and cccleaner. Nothing came back on all of them.
    Rebooted again.

I did some tests with the integrated card and the results were the same ( so it is not the gpu ).
I also tested minecraft and it also took forever to load and ran at very low fps.
    -------------
Short version - Computer worked fine last night, today it loads very slow and run slower. General surfing is not effected. Videos run normally. I tested memory(clean), for viruses and spyware(clean), and gpu problems(None). Rebooting alone did nothing.

Right now I am defragging and the next thing I can think of is system restore but I have high doubts about that.

Anyone know what the problem might be?
    ------
Edit- Defragging fixed a lot of it, load times are still slower than normal and I do get random lag spikes that were not there before but the frame rate is back to normal for all games.

Would suspect a HDD fault, run Cyrstaldisk info to see if there are any bad sectors, it may just need a fresh install of Windows.

Failing that pick up a cheak 256 V4 Crucial SSD :)

    Regards.

I agree, if you have some spare time try a Windows 7 clean installation.

Here are all the drivers you will need with the correct installation order.
