So i've got this lappy and zyxel keenetic viva. On lenovo y580 i've got full wifi speed while on m11x only 20mbit, what can be a problem here?

    I've got this wifi card:
Network Card: DELL Wireless 1520 Wireless-N WLAN Mini-Card

    You've had the M11xR1 for a while. :)

So I'll just suggest a few basics as you've probably checked these things already.

If we look at the M11xR1 WiFi network list in the status bar and then select the SSID in question.
Then on that SSID select status -> properties-> configure -> advanced.

In the advance list of options one may see 802.11n channel width and it may be set to 20MHz only.

I'm only suggesting this as no mention of what has already been checked has been mentioned.

That's a great suggestion. If that does not work you could also try reinstalling the wireless driver.

ha, ha. In that case I have more suggestions. :D

In the same Advanced properties list, you may find "Fat Channel Intolerant", this should be set to disable.
If enabled it will advertise 40MHz/80MHz(802.11ac) channel bonding is not supported on the adapter.
The above option may not be present on a DW1520 adapter.... but if it is...

Also, but not directly related to 20MHz channels, I "uncheck" any power management savings if battery savings are NOT your number one requirement.

I also lower roaming aggressiveness and use the highest transmit power.

As mentioned, re-installing the wireless drivers can reset the defaults AND in general they should be OK for 40MHz 2.4GHz/5GHz channel connections.
