    M11x R1 Lighting

    Ok just got a strange fault on my R1 - the alienware logo light underneath the screen seems to be dead on the A and L now. It works on certain colours like red but doesnt light up at all for green on those letters for example.
    Anyone seen this before? I'm thinking i'll probably need to replace the board which displays this - was thinking about buying a new display assembly anyway to try out an IPS screen in it so this might just be the push I need to do it!

    The LOGO board needs to be replaced.

    Thought i'd provide an update on this:
    I did change the full screen assembly so i could fit in the IPS screen - it worked for a bit but much dimmer and now it's gone off completely. Also interestingly enough the old screen assembly the logo works perfectly on another m11x I acquired. Can only assume something is borked on the motherboard not a big problem everything else works!
