I just did a fresh install of windows 7 on my M11x. I installed all the drivers from the website including command center and osd, but still has "Other Devices" and two "Base System Device" and one "Unknown Device".

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

Ok, after doing a full update, the Base System Devices are gone, only unknown device.

It appears it might be the free fall sensor.

I installed an Intel 120GB SSD, should I install the free fall sensor driver still? Will it cause any conflicts or issues? I know it isn't needed because it's an ssd, but it's good to have my device manager all nice and tidy.

Ha, I just got the same 120G drive, probably from the same amazing deal on Newegg.

I installed the free fall sensor just to remove the unknown device. The other thing I installed was the Intel Rapid Storage stuff which boosted my WEI index score on the drive from 5.9 to 7.7. In the real world, I don't notice a difference, but I like seeing the bigger number there :)

yeah IRST makes a big difference, and I ended up installing the free fall sensor driver too. It's small, and use little to no resources. Plus yeah I got that newegg deal. I gotta remember to send in for the rebate now!
