Would it be possible to upgrade a m11x i5 r2 motherboard to a i7? I know that changing from r1 r2 r3 is impossible, but what about switching motherboards to upgrade from i5 to i7? i currently have the i5 520um

I think it would be possible, but I don't think it would be worth to do.

It is possible. Now up to you to decide whether or not is worth it.
