UPDATE: New sources point to 14" after someone pulled a leaked manual on the new system.

    Alright,

this might be a long shot but the specs on the new M14x hit the internet today (saw it on either engadget, gizmodo, or slashgear), and a couple sources are pointed that the new M14x is equipped with an 11" screen that will come in two flavors... stock 1333x768 (familiar to us), or an upgrade 1920x1080p.

Personally this is probably BS seeing as I wonder why a 12" screen goes into a 14" body, but one can hope.

If it is true I would question the reason for 1080p in an 11", but then again even in a 14" would be some serious overkill.

If a 1080p screen existed, could our system drive it?

    1) whitrzac is correct there is a designated thread for this speculation
    2) My m11x runs 1080p just fine, let alone an improved GPU/CPU will be able to handle it better.

Please read sticky on first page.

If you can't kill the messenger, kill the thread. too much speculation without real hardware is not good for your health.

That's why they call it the M14X, cause it uses 14" screen.
    What a retarded thread.

No they call it a M14X because it has 14 AMD 6990s using alien technology, which is why its called Alienware. Stop flaming, you're better off not even replying because that is the best way to kill a thread  .

Ah, if it isn't the computer-illiterate, warranty fraud guy.

Also, what you just said makes no sense. Please go back to school and learn English to express your point better. Also, try to learn some computer skills to realize that you can't OC a 335m card as much as you brag about in your signature, and you sure as hell can't OC a SU7300 to 3Ghz, so get out of your basement. That would do all of us a big favor. Thanks!

    thats pretty uncalled for.
its possible to get close to 3ghz. 2.4ghz is the most iv seen. (pinmod) and if he Vmod's the gt335 he could possibly get to that speed.

Even after looking at the links I still wonder is this just vaporware or photoshopped M11X.

Do not speak badly about anothers typing of bad english if it is not their native language. Sometimes ideas are more important than correct grammer.

No it's not. To get 3Ghz, 500mhz on FSB is needed, RAM would be running at 750mhz/1000mhz (1.5/2Ghz effective). Last I checked, nobody even got close to breaking 400 stable for 2.4Ghz or even broken through 600mhz RAM. some guy tried but he was unstable.
He didn't Vmod his 335, so he has a point.

im just saying, 2.4ghz is the closest anyones gotten, and thats not that too far off from 3ghz. and im sure "trying to OC the m11x to 3ghz" is a joke lol. when i first saw that i laughed up a storm. although i do think the 2.4ghz mark *could* be possible. i would totaly love to Vmod the gt335. but none of us know how just yet. but there isnt anything right about being rude to the guy if his computer skills arnt as good as someone elses.

2.4Ghz is closer to 2Ghz after rounding to the nearest whole number. He did admit it was a joke... he's not going to get very far without a pinmod.
I'm working on a VBIOS mod but I haven't gotten far and only got .95v enabled on paper.

yeah thats true, and nice! thats still an increase in voltage tho. it could help slightly. if we cold get 1.0v then that would rock. if i knew anything about volt mod's id try to help.

English is not my first language sir. Stop thinking that everyone in the world should learn English. Of course you can't OC a SU7300 to 3Ghz. If you really believe that then...wow. I don't see how I'm a warranty fraud even if a Dell representative said that you can receive a one time service (for hinges) even if your warrantys gone. You ain't going to get anywhere if you go into a thread and type like a troll. Anyone know what price or any details about the M14X that are from a reliable source?

Vmoding the 335M would be pretty helpful for a more stable-ish OC. N00B question: Doesn't increasing how much volt the M11X uses puts more pressure on the battery adapter?
