Hey Guys, So I got the m11x for about 2 weeks. Pretty happy with it. It is the R2 I7 model.

I play games on it and it sometimes freezes randomly on me. Once in a while I will freeze after a certain amount of time lets say 15 minutes. Other times it wont freeze despite hours of usage. The freezing is somewhat rare but still occurs enough to notice it.

I am currently using throttle stop and Bios OC to 160 mhz. I turned down the OC 150 mhz and its been okay for now but not sure.

What causes this random freeze? I think temps are fine when I check. Is this what they mean by unstable oc? Sorry I'm not too good with this stuff :p

I just want to get to the bottom of this to make my experience perfect (although I know it will never be for any computer) disconnecting during a starcraft ladder match when I have a lead is somewhat disheartening :(

There's a good chance you will have better OCing results if you install some better RAM.

Try ThrottleStop if you haven't already.

Yes, there is a good chance that this is a sign of a component being at too high a clock speed. It may be the cpu overclock, but not necessarily. The first thing you should do is turn off your overclock completely and see if your problems go away. If they do, they you can increment it bad up to a speed that still runs fine. If you still have problems, then it is something else.

I haven't had this problem, but worth trying if turning off the cpu oc doens't help.

Alright. I lowered my clock speed so I'll see if this prevents and freezes whatsoever. Thanks a lot!

    Thanks everyone else too!
