M11x Cute?

I've been getting a ton of cute comments on my M11x R2 lately since school started. All the comments coming from girls of course but to me the M11x was like a beast of a little laptop in comparison to other little laptops.

Just wondering anyone else getting these comments? I have a feeling my color lit keyboard has something to do with it. I usually switch between Purple, White & off for battery life.

College, pfft never would have taken this to my highschool, I'm in college. I also met some dude with a M11x out haha, I should ask him the same question next time I see him.

 

I usually rock my powerbook for class and just recently remembered I had an m11x lol. I'll take it next time I have class and I'll let you know if anyone comments lol.

 

M11x is definitely a chick magnet. I also have a thinkpad, and the general comments I get from girls with that is, "what's a thinkpad?"

 

it's because they know you're not compensating for anything.

Yup I get cute from the girls all the time when I'm in the library.

 

I don't really get it. What's cute about it, the lights, the alien head on the screen, the size in general, or a combination of all of those? (not that I'm complaining...)

 

From a girl's perspective, I'm cute when I use it, lol. I think that it is the lights and the alienhead.

 

Got plenty of compliments on my PC at school. Some of them even know what an Alienware is, too. A lot of it is how small the PC is, and the backlit keyboard.

 

Step 1: Figure out their favourite colour.
Step 2: Set AlienFX to that colour.
Step 3: ???
Step 4: Profit.

 

i'm gonna bring my m11x to my college english class. there's a few hot chicks in it so hopefully i'll get a comment or two im gotta sit in the front row so everyone can see it lol.

 

1) Sit right next to girl(s) in class
2) Bust out laptop with pretty lights
3) Girl comments on said laptop
4) Make Conversation
5) Get number
6) ???
7) Profit!

 

I dunno but it feels really weird when I take out my m11x not because of it's looks or lights. Just that no one in my class uses laptops to take notes and I feel a bit out of place. It's a community college is why.

First thing my roomie's wife said when I pulled it out of the box was "Oh! It's so cute!"

I actually have never gotten the cute comment. What color leds do this trick? However, I have got the "OMG, can i touch it comment"

Regardless male/female, if anyone else had the same laptop, i would give them a compliment.

 

I got the cute comment with the lights off in class from two friends of mine who had heard of it but hadn't seen it (one guy, one girl). I also got it with the purple keyboard lights on (my default as I both like purple and it's the least glaringly bright color I find) when I first took it out at my new apartment and one of my room mates saw it (female).

 

Maybe girls appreciate small things. I wouldn't take that anywhere near my college though, it would disappear quicker than classes do when extra studies are mentioned.

but i do get comments a lot about the lights (blue, green, any) girls do seem to be drawn to it but after i was asked what a gaming laptop was i did not know what to think

Edit: oh and I take my m11x to my g/f's all the time, she loves it. One of the first things she said was, "Oh that's so cute! Cool..." (actually the first thing she said when I bought it was "Sigh") Probably because it wasn't a ring hahaha

 

A quick flick of the hair during class usually does the trick but I guess the M11x is a close contender.

 

It's a sad sad day when Hard core gaming goes cute.
