Hey guys, just wondering what happened to the Stealth Black i7 configuration? It's no longer available in Canada it seems. If anyone from Dell or Alienware is on the site could they explain why?

Does anyone know if the R2 i series processors are soldered to the board like the R1's SU's?

Nigel, items/options periodically fall off the configuration screen due to shortages, availability, etc. I'm sure it will return.

They are. It's rather common to solder ULV CPU onto the board, to save that bit of space a socket would normally take up.

Hmmm, just seemed strange as none of the buisness account managers were able to add soft touch black with an i7. Its only available with the i5 and 250GB HD.
