    Hi, all,

When I boot up (before windows screen), the system displays "battery not recognized, ... cannot be charged. Press F1 to continue and F5 for diagnose" , and I cannot press F2 for system settings.

I clicked F5, and no error was found with the dell default testing.

This issue appears recently. I have no idea how to fix it, in windows, the system does not charge the battery at all. I wonder if it is because the battery is flaw.

Or anything I can do to fix it.

    thx

You could remove the screws on the bottom panel and try to reseat the battery and see if that resolves the issue. Or if that idea makes you squimish, contact tech support and see if they will replace your battery, as long as it's under warranty, you should be fine.

I had this problem a few times, I forced the shut down by holding the power button, and then after a few secs I power up the computer and it worked fine.

I had this problem like 2-3 times only, and after that I don't remember ever having that problem again, it's been like 3 months, since then.
