Make sure your running with the 335M GPU on. Press Fn+F6. the display port only works when the discreet GPU is on.

I have not yet had a chance to connect an external monitor with my m11x.
I did however connect a projector with my m11x without a problem (intel graphic) Both devices (m11x and project) display showed up fine.
I dunno if that helps =]

Are you using DisplayPort to HDMI or DisplayPort to DisplayPort? If HDMI, use computer speak, don't use the DisplayPort audio, HDMI don't like that for some reason. My HDTV go haywire if I turn on the DisplayPort audio.

I'm using display port to display port.... I have a Dell 3008WFP.
I haven't tried the HDMI to HDMI yet; any benefits over displayport??

The FN / F6 did the trick... many thanks guys.

HDMI work better for HDTV, DisplayPort work better for computer monitor.
Not much different as I can see. They just mean for different display type and Dell is backing the DisplayPort format. I never heard of it till I got my M15x.

I've been using the DisplayPort on my M11x to connect to a Dell 24" U2410.
    All works fine.
The U2410 can be configured for audio out, but you need to select 16bit (as I remember it) to get it to work.

you can do it F6 either on Intel / Nvidia card.

I m watching movies in HD / TV while putting 5+1 sound system
put the 3 soundsjacks in all audio connectors (to be sure to get the surround working properly).
At the end....it s a PERFECT HOME CINEMA
