Would you be able to hook up an external blu-ray drive to this system? If so, has anyone done it and what recommendations / guidelines do you have?

    Thanks,
    Tru3

The problem with the blurays is not the machine in this case, is the software to play them...

If you get an external Blu-Ray dirve, and the software to play them, is gona be perfect...

Asus external blu-ray works fine. Purchase total media theater software for playback. I have personally done it in the past with my old m11x and it works great! Avatar looked amazing in blu-ray on it.

I currently use the blu-ray burner that came with my M17x R2 as an external. Removed it for a third HDD in my M17x, and put the drive in an external enclosure for the optical drive. Works well, though I havn't used used it to watch blu-ray yet.
