Ok so when i go to Manage Audio Options and click Configure on the Speakers than click 5.1 and try to test them i only hear one sound out of the six tests from the L section the rest shows it works but no sound. Does 5.1 Sound only work for Sound XFI? How do you get the 5.1 to work!

    thank you

Do you have a 5.1 speaker system hooked up to all 3 headphone jacks?

No it's a built in Speaker system in my laptop that has the capability to use 5.1 than 2.1 which than i apply the 5.1 on my laptop but only one sound is heard from the 6 sound tests.

Your computer does not have 5.1 in it, there are only 2 speakers in your laptop. One on the left by the front light and one kinda in the center by the other front light.

5.1 on the m11x is only outputed with the 3 headphone jacks or via the hdmi cable.

So you will need to buy a set of 5.1 analog external speakers, or hook them up via hdmi to a home audio receiver and speaker set.

Did you set your speaker setup back to 2.0 in the control panel?
