    hi!

i`m using my m11x for 6 weeks now. when it came, it had 3 always-white pixels at the top side of the screen. however, after a couple of weeks, i decided to press against them with a stylus pen and they disappeared.
    that felt so good!

only to notice that 3 hours later , a line of another 3 pixels became permanently white RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SCREEN!!
I tried everything from software to screen tapping, massaging and all the stuff there is to try. nothing worked.

however, after tapping the pixels for about 20 minutes (you might call me mad, thats okay), i noticed that the line of pixels that did not function moved around!

i took a look to the screen from sideways, and i could see my wallpaper displaying BEHIND the white damaged "pixels". seems like this spot of white on my screen is BETWEEN THE ACTUAL LCD AND THE PLASTIC COVER PROTECTING IT.

guys, do you have ANY suggestions? I e-mailed alienware a week ago but they didn`t bother to respond. honestly, lack of quality was the last thing i expected to encounter from an alienware machine

i will call them tomorrow. anyway, i`m afraid they`ll just tell me send us the faulty laptop and we`ll send you a new one (of course, it will arrive a month later). i need the computer in order to do my job, i can`t afford to stay without it for more than a couple of days.

do you know any tricks i could use to solve the problem myself without waiting an exaggerated period of time for a new laptop?

i know about the 1 month waiting period because that is the time it took to have the laptop delivered in the first place.

Dell is not without reason. If you explain your situation clearly, they will always be on your side. More than likely they'll ask for a picture and then the screen will be sent overnight to a local tech (if it's not user replaceable) for replacing.

I hope you're right. I`ll let you all know how will Dell handle this one after I give them a call tomorrow.
