Expect the lag. It's a demanding game. I just gave up on it since I hate to play any games on low/med settings. It runs ok on M17x though x).

Do you think it will run ok in med setting? It plays fine on my toshiba and it just has a 9700 gpu in it I belive. I can take med setting but cant stand lag?

Also do you know if the cpu in a R1 can be upgraded?

Not sure if I tried it on med or low settings, but lag was annoying me so i just stopped. That was before I formatted so I can't tell anymore. Don't feel like downloading a game I dont play on M11x.

Not sure how it will do w/ R1's neither.

This is a game that really isnt worth buying if your not gonna play it on max settings. Some people might say the storys great, but for a 50 dollar game that lasts 11 hours, you want it looking damn nice for that short amount of time.

I play it on my M11x R2 at medium settings with no problems. It still looks very nice on medium but every now an then I turn it to high just to see how beautiful it looks.

@Testosterone580: I also really like Metro 2033. I haven't finished it yet but I'm really enjoying it. It's quite underrated in my opinion.

@Test - I have it for the R1. It is a very demanding game. We have to take some hits on this one and make some allowances. I can play on medium but its smoother on low and if need be I even lower the rez to 1280 x 720 for a few extra fps. The game looks great and you can always play around with settings to find what works for you. I got it on sale a while back for 12 bucks at a site sale and the code worked on steam.. so I was very pleased. Take Care, StevenX

Thanks guys for all the info. I have it all ready on my steam account and just wanted to make sure it was worth downloading on the M11X. It makes me happy that the M11X is strong enough to play such a powerhouse of game. Even if it has to be played in med. :D It is going to be delivered tomorrow by fed ex. I fell like a kid at X-Mass LOL

im almost done with this game, i have an r2 oced and I played through the whole game on very high. I had some framerate issues when you get into a certain level but other than that it ran well enough to play enjoyably
