    Heyo it's Will,

Today I took apart my m11x r3 to do a thorough cleaning along with a repaste on the cpu and gpu also cleaning out the fan. Before I did this, while playing League Of Legends, my temps rose to 185 deg Fahrenheit. I did these things to make the temps go down but when I started playing league again after my cleaning, it was still reaching the 180's. What's wrong? What could be going on that I'm missing?
    Thank you!

Did you apply the paste properly? Too much paste tends to hurt cooling performance rather than improve it. As well, make sure that the back of the computer is propped up with something and isn't flush with the surface of the table or whatever it's sitting on. The rubber feet on the bottom do not provide enough clearance for adequate airflow to the fan intake.

You should use a proper thermal grease such as ICD or Gelid extreme. Start with and put thermal grease tube inside a bag and heat it in a cup of hot water for a while (about 55 degrees Celsius) so the paste becomes softer. A heated pasta is easier and applying appropriate (paste squeezed easier to a thin layer). Use a thin line of thermal grease on processor and only tighten the heatsink. Do not apply with a credit card or brush, then you get a too thick layer of thermal grease that makes it a poorer result. :D
