    Hey pals,

Looking for an application that lets you save/drag web links / favorites / whatever into a folder or something that you can save across multiple computers.

I have dropbox, but it is geared more towards files.

Is there something or a way I can use dropbox to do what I want?

I just want to be able to say "hey, this link is cool" on my computer, tag/drag it somewhere, and then be able to pull it up on my m11x.

    Thanks!

I found functionality in google chrome that allows me to sync my bookmarks and such, but I don't think it works with the iPhone...

Yes, and some say that this will be implemented in the new R3, along with battery that is driven by the radioactivity outside Tokyo.

If you're talking about saving links from your machine to your iPhone, I used to do this by using Safari, and syncing the bookmarks.

Disclaimer, this was a couple of years ago, with a Mac.

But that doesn't sound quite like what you're looking for.

EDIT: Have you looked into Firefox's Awesome Bar? That sounds like it may be what you need, since you only seem to need to sync between desktop/laptop. I haven't tried it, but I've heard good things.

I'm going to try out del.icio.us and see if I like it, I guess I'll be able to pull it up in the browser and look at my links (I think), I was hoping for some way on my iPhone (an app or something) to just pull up my links from chrome connected to my google account.

There is a ty app currently called Chrome Sync, but I don't trust it because of the way it works.

Edit: del.icio.us is giving me so many problems just trying to sign up/log in for the service that I am about two seconds away from throwing my m11x and my desktop out the window, and then putting all the knives in my kitchen in the oven, heating them up, and then stabbing myself with them until I slowly bleed to death.

Checkout Evernote or Instapaper. I use dropbox, much like you, for actual files (music, images, apps, etc.), but for items like web pages- either as a link or a clip of the actual page- I use Evernote. You can create "notes" based on a link, page, image or other that can come from just about any source with an internet connection. I have Evernote on my M11x, Macbook Pro, iPhone, iPad and also access my account/notes directly from evernote.com. All the info is sync'd between devices almost immediately.

It's also possible to snap a pic with your phone camera and create a note based on the image that Evernote will do character recognition on any text in the photo. So when you do a keyword search on your notes, word IN the pic with return results as well. It's very cool. I find myself taking pictures or magazine and newspaper articles because it's so easy to retrieve the info in them later.

Instapaper is similar in that you can save web pages intact or in a text/mobilized format for offline or later reading, but I believe is limited to online content. I use Evernote far more, though Insta has it's benefits too.

    Hope this helps!

    tazm0n,

I'm pretty sure one of those are exactly what I was looking for. I remember finding one a while back but not being able to carry through because I was at work. +1

    Awesome, glad I could help!

BTW, both services are free and although Evernote has 'Pro' service for ~$50 a year, all the software is a free to download even iOS and Android. What you pay for is Ad free use (small box at the bottom displays an ad, pretty unobtrusive compared to other services) and more- unlimited, I think- transfers and storage.

Do either of them auto sync with Chrome?

I use chrome on my PC and do a lot of browsing from my iPhone, curious which would be best.

EDIT: Nevermind, Evernote is what I was looking for without a doubt.
